2006 November - STEP

Hello "STEP-Folk."

We sure appreciated receiving some nice letters and photos from our STEP Classes this year…following their Spring Class Incubation and Release Activities. Did you know that we distributed Steelhead Trout Eggs to 108 Classes during this school-year? It sure was a busy time, but well-worthwhile! We expect to do another Workshop Training again, this year at the National Marine Fisheries Lab in Santa Cruz. Details will be determined and given, probably by November of this year.

Also, we expect this year to distribute (like always in the past) Steelhead Trout Eggs to our “certified” classes. Note that we are still uncertain whether we will be able to distribute Steelhead eggs for the following next year. (That will be determined by the usual permit-process). We are, very much, interested in persons who have an interest in helping with our STEP Leadership, Administration, and/or general support. Please contact us if you have an interest.

And, again, thanks to all those (many persons) who help with this Program. Hugh Miller, Coordinator, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
